Books Open means I am taking on new project ideas!
My books are ALWAYS open if you’d like to get a predrawn piece, touch-up or book more sessions for a larger project.
Books Closed means I don’t have time to consider new custom projects for a short while.
-
My books open 2-3 times a year. Typically in Winter, Spring and Fall.
-
Currently, Instagram is where I post booking updates. I usually post a couple weeks before I officially open my books.
-
My energy is focused on communication with the clients who I am able to work with each booking periods.
In previous booking rounds I’ve tried to get to everyone, but have found it is not a realistic use of my time with the volume of requests I receive.
Thank you for keeping me busy!
-
If we’ve worked together before — please do! I enjoy seeing a friendly face in my chair.
Any emails sent while my books are closed take me a bit longer to get to, as I prioritize drawings and tattooing above emails.
-
$170/hr + GST
-
Cash & Etransfer. There is also an ATM in the shop should you choose to use one.
-
You’re so welcome to resubmit your idea! Due to the volume of requests I am not able to take on everyone at once.
If your idea is majorly outside of my vibe, I will try and make a recommendation if I have time!
-
Nope! All designs are presented the day of your tattoo appointment, for every client.
If we are working on a large-scale design like a backpiece, we can set up an in-person meeting to discuss your composition.
-
Realistic, minor adjustments are easily made in person, with communication and a little bit of art magic on my part. I pride myself in my communication skills and have no problem working on the fly.
If you request an entire redraw, (meaning I will have to start a new drawing) we will book a new appointment date and a new retainer will need to be put down in order to the respect the time I’m spending in the design phase of your project.
Design Process
-
Wear sunscreen and limit tans and burns
Stay hydrated
Moisturize and exfoliate your skin
Get a good sleep the night before
Eat a solid meal
-
Drinking or drugs the night before
Sunburns and tans
Bites or scratches in the area
-
Headphones
Blanket or comfort object
Stress ball
Snacks
Water bottle
Sunglasses (great for limiting sensory input)
-
Please send a pic and email me as soon as you have a wound in the area of your tattoo, as it will not be able to be tattooed over.
-
You bet ur butt I do! I use Bactine (5% Lidocaine) in my process.
If you intend to use numbing creams, we need to discuss before your tattoo appointment to make sure I am informed and comfortable tattooing you with your chosen product.
I have used Zensa Numbing Cream and Dr. Numb in the past. There are pros and cons to numbing cream, which I will be happy to discuss with you if you have questions.
If you show up with a numbing cream I am not familiar with that we have not discussed, you will not be able to be tattooed that day, and will need to put down a new retainer to book back into my schedule.

I work at Albert Street Tattoo. We are located at 62 Albert Street in a private, second floor studio, accessible by elevator.
Upon arrival, please email or DM me so I can come down to meet you, the elevator is locked to the public.
-
There is a parkade, listed as 201 Portage. This faces Albert Street, and has a green banner. You can use the HangTag app at this parkade.
There is also 2hr street parking all throughout the Exchange district. You can use the Pay-by-Phone app with the street parking.
-
I tattoo in a private room. The door can be closed for more private tattoo areas, or if you’re feeling like you want more privacy.
-
Yes, we have an atm on the 2nd floor. Most cards are limited to a $400 per day withdrawal cap.
Accessibility
I value direct, effective communication. I tattoo a ton of neurodiverse folks, and I’m familiar with many types of support needs ranging from sensory issues to folks who are semi or non-verbal. I aim to create a safe space for all.
-
You bet! We are accessible by elevator.
-
A silent appointment is when there is limited talking so you can get in a comfortable mental space. You never owe your tattooer conversation if you’d rather stay focused.
I’m no stranger to conversation if you’d prefer to chat!
-
If you have specific support requests, I would love to hear about them so I can be prepared for your appointment.
-
I totally understand how getting a tattoo can seem intimidating, especially if you’re new to the culture or don’t understand the norms of the industry.
I’ve included a ton of info in the FAQ for your consideration, and I’m happy to explain the process or clarify any questions you may have before, after or during your appointment.

I do not offer touch-ups of other artist’s work. If you have a tattoo that needs a rework, I may consider it, but it is low on my priority list of projects unless you are an existing client to be transparent.
