Booking Policy

  • Your retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or idea.

Your retainer is for the specific idea we discussed initially, and will be deducted from the final cost of your tattoo.

New tattoo concept = new retainer.

1 (one) reschedule per retainer. Your appointment must be rescheduled within 6 months of your original appointment date to maintain your original retainer.

Minimum 72 hours notice is required to reschedule.

Less than 72 hrs results in loss of retainer, no exceptions.

Additional rescheduling requests may be asked to leave a larger retainer to demonstrate commitment.

Being 15 or more minutes late to an appointment may forfeit your retainer, based on my discretion. If you are running behind, please let me know.

Cancelling your appointment will forfeit your retainer.

  • Rescheduling looks like:

    • I need to move my appointment to another date within the next 6 months.

    • I have given appropriate notice of 72 hours or longer for this reschedule.

    • I am using my one (1) reschedule opportunity from my retainer

      OR

    • I have already used my reschedule, I am putting I down a new retainer to book.

    Cancellations look like:

    • Giving less than 72 hours notice

    • Not being able to commit to your appointment or another appointment within 6 months

    No-Shows look like:

    • Not coming to your appointment while also not communicating you will not be there.

  • Once your bandage is applied at the studio, it is the client’s responsibility to treat their tattoo like an open wound and follow the aftercare instructions.

Touch-ups under 1 hour are a $25 tray fee within the first 6 months.

If your touch-up is due to negligent aftercare, you may be charged at my regular hourly rate, on a case-by-case basis.

    Negligent Aftercare looks like:

    • Removing your bandage outside of aftercare instructions.

    • Sun exposure or Sunscreen on your tattoo during the heal process

    • Picking or scratching

    • Over-moisturizing your tattoo

    • Using products outside of my recommendations on your tattoo. (Ex. Polysporin, coconut oil, essential oils)

  • Client-Tattooer Relationship

Getting a tattoo is a vulnerable, close-contact practice that requires communication, trust and openness between both parties. It is extremely important to me that you feel respected and safe in the process of being tattooed.

Things I do in my practice:

I provide a private setting that allows you to choose if you would like the door open or closed. Tattooers sometimes like to check in with their coworkers but if you don’t want an audience, that is 100% okay.

When I photograph your tattoo, I will crop/blur other areas of your body that are not relevant to showcasing my work. If your tattoo is in a sensitive area, you will are welcome to see every photo I’ve taken to make sure you are comfortable with them.

I provide privacy when you need to reveal a vulnerable area of your body. This looks like having options to cover sensitive areas, or suggesting clothing that allows me to access our tattoo location without revealing more than you are comfortable.

Ongoing consent check-ins through the tattoo process. If I need to adjust a line, want to add a colour, you get to say yes or no to what I propose.

I refer to your anatomy in neutral terms. I will never make judgemental, rude or aggressive comments regarding the specific shape of your body. As an artist, I observe the structure of the human body and design with the flow of how you are built. I use neutral language to help you observe your body with the design and come to your own conclusions.

If you are concerned about coming to your tattoo alone, please communicate with me and we will find a solution together. I typically tattoo my clients one-on-one, but I am willing to adjust if it makes you as the client more comfortable.

As your tattooer, it is extremely important for me to maintain professional boundaries, similar to that of a doctor, therapist, lawyer, etc.
